Reports to: S&B Lead Coordinator
Location: Regional based and may involve travel to other locations.
Contract type: Casual/Flexible Basis
Uniform: Smart all-black attire, any different attire will be communicated by S&B
Payment: Daily rate

Suave and Beautiful Events Management (S&B Events Mgmt) is an event management company that specialises in African Weddings. The main focus of our company is our wedding coordination service. We assist our clients in managing their memorable celebrations with a service that aims to exceed their expectations. Our ethos and values are to be a team dedicated to greatness and aim to exceed our clients' expectation with professionalism and excellence of customer service.
Our specialty is within the African Weddings industry where we have built a network of exceptional relationships with vendors and suppliers who qualify to our standard of excellence and commitment to reliable service standard. We strongly believe in excellence and that we should never compromise on our standard no matter the situation which is why we are very selective with the work we take on.
Our staff is our hands and feet. We are only as good as the staff we keep which is why we value every member that works for S&B Events Mgmt. We believe in having a fun, relaxed but dedicated working environment where no one is above approach and members of the team are comfortable with one another. This is why we have actively take our team members out for events and other team building activities to promote unity among our members.
S&B Events Mgmt are looking to source new Event Coordinators to add to the current pool due to the increase in the number of bookings we have received.
The role of an Events Coordinator is to provide support for the delivery of an S&B Event and to support the values that we hold.
The Event Coordinator is responsible for the management of events. The events concerned are mainly weddings that take place within one day. Whilst there may be S&B Events Leads, this may not always be the case.
Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
On day site assessment – using the site risk assessment, the Event Coordinator (EC) will be responsible for checking the equipment to be used (radio’s, clipboards etc.) and to highlight to users any particular risks identified both via the pre-event risk assessment and via the on-site assessment.
Coordinating the day – using the pre-event literature, the EC will be responsible for ensuring that the event gets executed as per schedule. Ensuring that those staff at the venue are aware of the event requirements. Additionally, helping to coordinate any other events that may arise and take priority over your designated role if asked by the Event Lead.
Medical/Emergency liaison – a medical provider will be available at each event. The EC will be responsible for briefing those individuals as to the procedure to follow in emergencies.
Provide feedback post event to the S&B Events Lead straight after the event regarding the outcome of the event and medical and safety incidents and other issues which occurred on the day.
Requirements for the role:
Knowledge of, and a keen interest in Weddings and Events
Strong communication skills
Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing environments, ability, groups and weather conditions
A confident and professional manner
Own car for travel to events
Emergency First Aid Trained
Foreign Language Speaker
You will be required to undertake a full DBS check prior to commencing work.
